Ringling Museum of Art: A World Class Museum Next Door

To my utter good fortune in life, I have been privileged to visit some of the great art museums of this country and the Netherlands, home of the Dutch masters and Vincent van Gogh.

My eyes have feasted on the works of Georgia O'Keefe in New Mexico; the Passionate Eye Impressionist collection of 1990 at the National Museum of Art in Washington, D.C., the works of Matisse at the Modern Museum of Art in New York, and the works of Degas in the Cleveland Art Museum.

The old Dutch master works were on exhibit during my sojourn to Amsterdam in 1999 at the Rijks Museum where the works of Vermeer and Rembrandt can take your breath away.
