Chamber to take Break From WRTT to Focus on New Events


Boats on the final day of the 2005 "World's Richest" Tarpon Tournament make their way in the Pass. No tarpon were brought in to be weighed during the two-day event. The most releases award was given to the team on the Boca Blue. See Letter to the Editor on page 7 and more photos on page 19.

GIBA ANNOUNCEMENT
Effective July 1, 2005 the GIBA will be going to a summertime schedule for customer service. The GIBA admin building will be open for business from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. These hours will remain in effect until September 30, 2005.

 

JULY BLOOD DRIVES

Florida’s Blood Centers are experiencing a shortage of all blood types. Donors may donate at 2065 S. Tamiami Trail, Galleria Plaza, in Venice (492-9202) or 2670 S. McCall Rd, Unit 9, Heron Plaza in Englewood (460-0698) or on the Blood Mobile. Florida’s Blood Center is the sole provider of blood and blood products for Venice Regional Medical Center and Englewood Community Hospital.
