The Boca Grande location at the Gasparilla Inn (964-0064) will have new summer hours staring June 12th and continuing through October 1st: Wednesday & Friday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. You can still visit the Venice Island location on US 41 Tuesday through Saturday. Call 484-2665.

Frederic Fekkai  A native of Aix-en-Provence, France, the renown stylist moved to New York City at age 25. In 1996, he opened a salon on 57th Street and a year later opened one in Beverly Hills, according to his website. Among his clients are Kim Basinger, Liv Tyler, and Holly Hunter.

Tarpon Fever Taking Hold in Boca Grande!

In only a few short weeks, the Boca Grande Chamber of Commerce World's Richest Tarpon Tournament gets launched for several days of exciting angling and a good time for all who attend the event.

Next week, our columnist, Carly will be talking to members of the various committees who are working hard to make the Silver King Festival one of the best ever. The following is a schedule for the tournament that has two venues of fishing for the Silver King. Be sure to call the Chamber of Commerce office at 964-0568 to sign up your team.
