| Chaplain (Major) Douglas
Etter, stationed since July with the 110th Infantry at
Camp Habbaniyah, has kept family and friends up-to-date
on life at the front - the joys and sorrows - in some 16
newsletters. He includes a list of needs and a thank you
list of every individual and group who cared enough to
send care packages.
Thank you
notes, said Kaiser, will also be a part of this mission.

Jan McHenry,
holds a portrait of her son, Patrick that was
his graduation picture from West Point Military
Academy in 1988. Over the years, |
 |
he served with the Berlin
Brigade and became a Ranger and now serves in the
National Guard as second-in-command at Camp Habbaniyah,
Iraq. McHenry shared the joys and worries of being a
military mom, and how it's been her passion to help make
her son's troops a little bit more comfortable during
their service. A widow since July 11, 2005, she has
chosen to move forward and has inspired a community to
join her in the "Support the Needs of Our
Troops" project.
