Bike Parade-Woman's Club Fair
Boca Grande 'Right on Track' for Full Slate of Fun Saturday

The logo for this year's Woman's Club Fair was created by artist Jane Carlson, whose work is being shown in the annual Boca Grande Art Alliance Spring Show this weekend as well.

The Big Weekend is here starting at 9 a.m. Saturday when the Book Sale in the Woman's Club Room begins as part of the Woman's Club Fair that really gets crankin' after the 19th Annual Bike Parade makes it way along the bike path starting at 5th Street.

The Parade begins at 10:30 A.M. with mandatory line-up scheduled for 9:55 a.m. It concludes its run all along the GICIA bike path at the Community Center grounds where a myriad of games, food, and more fun awaits residents and visitors alike.

Mary Jo Wilson and Sue Cain are co-chairs of the Woman’s Club Fair this year, and as usual, Dee Wheeler is organizing the bike parade. Among the features of the fair this year is a bake sale, cake walk, games for kids, music, and more. See Lee Shinner's column for a luscious recipe and more on the fair.

The party includes "island" music by "Impulse," crab races, nautical arts and crafts, games, boat displays and more.

The Placida Rotary Seafood Festival is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Admission is $2 for adults, free to children under 12. Parking is available at $2 per car in the field across from The Fishery.
